Supporting the establishment natural habitat in backyards and verges across the City of Kalamunda.

The ‘Plants for Residents’ program provides free plants to ratepayers of the City of Kalamunda, a program that has been running for over 20 years. Eligible ratepayers are encouraged to select up to 15 plants each for their property free of charge.

The program aims to promote the revegetation of residential and rural properties with local native trees, shrubs and groundcovers.

Planting not only improves landscape quality but also provides an array of environmental benefits such as shade, carbon sequestering and shelter for birds, reptiles and small mammals.

In 2019, Plantrite grew 12,000 plants to order for the program. All plants are tube stock or smaller. These were delivered in May to locations in High Wycombe and Gooseberry Hill.

Talk with a Plantrite team member about arranging a native plant community program in your local area.
