Contract Growing

From landscape tubestock, 140mm pots to more advanced sizes Plantrite can supply high quality plants for your next project.  Commercial landscape design plans are often completed months ahead of construction, with the plant supply contract in most cases not being awarded until a month or so out from installation. We understand now all projects have months of lead time available. Our nursey carries surplus stock of popular varieties to deliver for projects on tight timelines.

Provenance Propagation

We specialise in the propagation and growing of West Australian plants for specific revegetation projects, seed and cutting collection can be organised from provenance specific areas and propagated in-house.

The majority of our plants for revegetation projects are grown from seed to ensure genetic diversity within the species. For species where propagation from seed is unreliable and for landscape projects we use cuttings from the best quality parent stock to ensure strong plants, growing inside of extensive climate controlled propagation houses to help roots to develop.

When traditional methods of seed or cutting propagation are to challenging for some varieties, production can be successful via our own onsite tissue culture laboratory. This also allows to grow select lines via tissue culture for Clients on request.

Native Plants for Carbon Farming

As well as propagating and growing native plants for large-scale carbon farming projects, Plantrite can assist with plant selection, advice on growth timeframes and expertise in maintaining native plants.

The Carbon Farming Initiative (CFI) is a voluntary carbon offsets scheme. Planting initiatives must be of an appropriate size and deemed eligible to be considered for earning ACCUs. With all carbon farm planting, one crucial consideration should be that of biodiversity; not a handful of plants but a wide species selection, endemic to the area, to restore the landscape and heal the country.
